About the artist

Mie Olise Kjærgaard is a Danish artist who holds a Master of Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in London.

Her practice spans painting, sculpture, and installation, exploring movement, freedom, humour, and female figures acting on their own terms.

Olise has exhibited at museums and institutions including Trapholt Museum of Art and Design, Nikolaj Kunsthal, Sammlung Philara, Museo de Artes Acarigua and Museo de los Pintores Oaxaqueños.

Kjærgaard exhibits extensively internationally, with solo exhibitions in cities including Paris, Korea, New York, and Los Angeles, and is represented in international collections, like Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Ny Carlsberg Foundation and Sammlung Philara.
